Job Description:
The sales manager is responsible for leading a dynamic sales team, driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening customer and distributor relationships across both B2B and B2C channels. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in mattress, furniture, or related home goods sectors, with a strong track record in leading national sales operations and achieving business goals.
Requirements:
Strategic Sales Leadership

Design and execute a robust national sales strategy that supports overall business goals.

Drive sales growth by setting and achieving ambitious targets across retail, wholesale, and corporate sectors.

Leverage market trends, customer behavior, and competitor analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
Team Management & Performance Optimization

Lead and mentor a nationwide sales team, including regional managers and field representatives.

Establish clear performance metrics and KPIs, offering consistent coaching, training, and performance reviews.

Foster a results-driven team culture focused on accountability, motivation, and continuous development.
Retail & Channel Development

Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners such as mattress/furniture dealers and major department stores.

Manage pricing strategies, promotional programs, and in-store/online retail performance.

Ensure effective merchandising and product placement across all sales channels.
Business Expansion & Client Acquisition

Identify and acquire new B2B clients, including hotels, resorts, and institutional buyers.

Explore and capitalize on emerging growth areas like direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales and e-commerce platforms.

Collaborate closely with marketing to synchronize sales efforts with brand initiatives and lead generation.
Forecasting, Budgeting & Reporting

Create accurate sales forecasts and oversee national sales budgeting.

Deliver timely reports and performance insights to senior leadership.

Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline management, sales tracking, and customer relationship insights.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline is required.

An MBA or other advanced degree is a strong asset.
Experience

At least 8 years of proven experience in a senior sales leadership position, ideally within the mattress, furniture, or home goods sector.

A solid track record in managing nationwide retail and distribution networks.

Extensive background in both B2B and B2C sales operations.
