Job Description:
We are seeking a data-first, high-precision Reconciliation & Settlement Analyst to anchor our financial control operations in Lekki. In the fast-paced ecosystem of modern financial services, success is defined by "Absolute Transactional Fidelity", the ability to harmonize high-volume data across internal ledgers, bank statements, and payment gateways with zero tolerance for error. This role is designed for an "Investigative FinTech Professional" with 3–5 years of experience who can blend "Financial Rigor" with the "Analytical Mastery" required to automate complex validation checks and resolve reconciliation breaks in real-time.
Your mission is to ensure "Seamless Fund Movement and Total Risk Transparency." You will be the primary architect of our daily reconciliation cycle: responsible for detecting anomalies in high-volume datasets, optimizing settlement workflows, and providing management with the data-driven insights necessary for strategic decision-making. If you possess "Exceptional Attention to Detail," mastery of Advanced Excel, and a commitment to strict internal controls, we want you to drive our operational integrity.
Requirements:
1. Multi-Channel Reconciliation & Investigation
Daily Integrity Management: Execute rigorous daily reconciliations across internal systems, third-party payment platforms (Fintech/Banks), and partner reports to ensure 100% data alignment.
Anomaly Resolution: Investigate, analyze, and resolve reconciliation breaks promptly, escalating unresolved discrepancies through institutional control protocols.
Settlement Orchestration: Monitor settlement cycles with surgical precision to ensure timely and accurate fund movements across the enterprise.
2. Data Analytics & Process Engineering
High-Volume Data Harvesting: Extract, clean, and analyze transactional data to detect subtle variances and latent risk exposures.
Automation Leadership: Develop automated reconciliation templates and validation checks to replace manual processes and improve operational velocity.
Standardization & SOPs: Document and maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure institutional continuity and audit readiness.
3. Risk Governance & Strategic Reporting
Management Intelligence: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports providing detailed analysis of settlement statuses and potential risk exposures.
Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with Technology, Operations, and Finance teams to address the root causes of system breaks and strengthen process efficiency.
Audit & Compliance Stewardship: Ensure strict adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards, maintaining high-fidelity reconciliation trackers and dashboards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: B.Sc. in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Data Analytics.
Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in reconciliation within Fintech, Banking, or Financial Services.
Technical Mastery: Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query) and a strong background in data analytics.
Certification Advantage: Completed or progressing toward ICAN, ACCA, or ACA is highly preferred.
Core Competencies
Investigative Grit: A natural aptitude for "following the data" to find the root cause of complex financial discrepancies.
Accountability: High sense of ownership and the ability to meet strict daily deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
Precision: Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to "Zero Error" output.
