About Company:
TAG Energy is an integrated service company offering a comprehensive range of oilfield products and support services in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly analytical and industry-savvy Operations Analyst to drive efficiency within our offshore service delivery framework. In the high-stakes environment of the upstream oil and gas sector, operational success is defined by the ability to predict disruptions before they occur and optimize resource deployment in real-time. This role is designed for an "Efficiency Architect", a professional with 5–7 years of experience who can translate complex datasets into the actionable insights that power our offshore engagements.
Your mission is to ensure "Peak Operational Readiness and Cost Optimization." You will be the central node for operational data: responsible for architecting performance dashboards, conducting deep-dive root cause analyses, and ensuring that every offshore project aligns with strict timelines, budgets, and QHSE standards. If you possess "Analytical Grit" and a profound understanding of offshore logistics, we want you to govern our operational excellence.
Requirements:
1. Data Engineering & Performance Visibility
Predictive Analysis: Analyze offshore operational data to identify hidden inefficiencies and emerging trends in service delivery, moving the organization from reactive to proactive management.
Dashboard Architecture: Develop and maintain sophisticated Power BI or Tableau dashboards that track real-time KPIs across all active offshore projects.
Resource Forecasting: Assist in the high-precision forecasting of personnel, equipment, and logistical needs to ensure continuous offshore uptime.
2. Operational Governance & Root Cause Resolution
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead the investigation into operational bottlenecks or failures, utilizing structured methodologies to propose corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with Logistics, QHSE, and Offshore Teams to gather field intelligence and implement standardized operational improvements.
QHSE Integration: Ensure all proposed operational solutions comply with the industry’s most rigorous safety and environmental standards.
3. Continuous Improvement & Regulatory Alignment
Process Optimization: Contribute to the evolution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance field performance and reduce "Non-Productive Time" (NPT).
Regulatory Stewardship: Monitor industry best practices and evolving Nigerian/International offshore regulations to ensure our delivery models remain compliant and competitive.
Project Lifecycle Support: Support the planning and execution phases of offshore activities, ensuring data-backed alignment with project milestones.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
Experience: 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in operations analysis, specifically within the Oil and Gas industry.
Sector Mastery: A strong understanding of Upstream Operations and the logistical complexities of offshore service delivery.
Technical Competencies
Tool Mastery: Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau for data manipulation and visualization.
Analytical Grit: Demonstrated ability to interpret high-complexity datasets and translate them into clear, executive-level insights.
Methodology Knowledge: Familiarity with project management methodologies and QHSE practices in a high-risk environment.
