Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Engineer to ensure quality control and assurance in our construction projects.
• The successful candidate will develop and implement quality control plans, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction industry, including quality control principles, regulations, and standards. Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers will be an advantage.
• The Ideal candidate will also oversee and certify the entire concrete production process from the inspection of raw materials to the final strength testing of cast cubes.
• The primary goal is to ensure that the batching plant strictly adheres to the approved Mix Designs and that all concrete delivered to the site meets the specified workability and durability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and checklists for construction projects.
• Ensure quality control plans align with project requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of construction work, including materials, equipment, and workmanship.
• Perform or oversee testing of materials and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations from specifications.
• Collaborate with construction teams to rectify defects and ensure corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
• Provide regular quality reports to project managers and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant construction industry regulations, standards, and codes
• Stay up-to-date with changes to regulations and standards.
• Work closely with construction teams, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.
• Communicate quality issues and concerns effectively.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance quality control.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.
• Experience in Quality Management, including adherence to standards and regulatory requirements.
• Membership in relevant professional bodies is an added advantage (e.g. COREN, MNSE)
• Knowledge and application of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Capability in performing Quality Auditing to ensure compliance across various stages of a project.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and address quality-related issues effectively.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
• Familiarity with construction industry standards and software tools is an advantage.
