Job Description:
SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA Lead to join our workforce. In this role, you will report directly to the QAQC Portfolio Manager and play a vital part in building, implementing, and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) across our project portfolio. The ideal candidate is a technical expert who ensures that all project activities, including those of contractors and subcontractors, strictly comply with company rules, project procedures, and international oil and gas industry standards.
Requirements:
QMS Implementation: Develop and maintain key QA documents (Quality Manuals, Project Quality Plans) and ensure consistent application of quality standards across all projects.
Contractor Quality Assurance: Organize and lead external quality audits of contractors/subcontractors, ensuring full compliance. Actively participate in the qualification and assessment process for new contractors.
Non-Conformance & Risk Management: Systematically follow up on and close out deviations and derogations. Maintain the portfolio-level quality risk register and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for significant quality failures.
Continuous Improvement: Capture "Lessons Learned" from audits and project experiences to foster a culture of quality excellence.
Reporting: Ensure accurate reporting of all QA activities to the QAQC Portfolio Manager, alerting leadership to quality trends, risks, and proposed remedial actions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in a similar Quality Assurance/QA Lead position.
Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in QMS, construction, pipe laying, metallurgy, welding, NDT, coating, and pre-commissioning.
Standards: Thorough knowledge of construction codes and international standards relevant to the Oil & Gas industry.
Certifications: Professional certification in NDT, Welding, or Coating inspection (e.g., CSWIP, IWE, FROSIO/NACE) is highly advantageous.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team.
