Job Description:
- The QHSE Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving the organization’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) systems across all operations.
- The role ensures strict compliance with regulatory and international standards, drives a strong safety culture, and embeds quality assurance across all operational processes to enhance service delivery, minimize risk, and ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Quality:
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), including policies, procedures, standards, and documentation to drive operational excellence.
- Oversee quality performance by managing audits, reporting to leadership, ensuring compliance with stakeholders, regulatory, and industry requirements, and driving corrective and preventive actions.
- Promote a strong quality culture through training, awareness, and cross-functional engagement, while supporting business needs such as proposals, Quality standards certifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Establish and enforce quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure consistent service delivery and operational excellence
HSE:
- Develop, implement, and maintain integrated QHSE management systems in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive a strong safety culture across shipboard, offshore and onshore operations, ensuring adherence to HSE policies and procedures.
- Oversee the review, maintenance and implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) Manual across board.
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and international standards (e.g., ISO standards, IMO requirements, Flag states and other local regulatory bodies).
- Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigation processes, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and report QHSE performance metrics, including safety incidents, audit findings, and quality KPIs.
- Plan and conduct HSE assessments, audits, inspections, incident investigations and compliance reviews across all locations in line with OSM/SMS standards and industry best practices.
- Oversee contractor and vendor HSE and quality compliance, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
- Develop and deliver QHSE training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Manage emergency response planning and ensure readiness for incidents.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting on HSE statistics, including analysis to identify trends and drive performance improvement initiatives across quality and HSE systems.
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to integrate QHSE into all business processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the QHSE team to ensure high performance and capability growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field
- 7–10+ years of experience in QHSE roles within oil & gas operations. Experience in offshore vessels operations or related experience is a key requirement.
- Proven experience managing both Quality systems and HSE frameworks.
- Knowledge of OVMSA and OVID frameworks will be an added advantage
