Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-reliant Senior Python Web Developer with at least 7 years of experience to join our engineering team. This role is designed for a backend specialist who can design and ship elegant, high-performance code with little to no supervision. You will be responsible for building robust server-side logic and scalable APIs while maintaining a sharp foresight for potential issues in usability, maintainability, and availability.

Working within an agile, cross-functional environment, you will bridge the gap between complex backend systems and client-side consumption, ensuring that our applications are secure, testable, and ready for global scale.

Requirements:

Backend Architecture & API Development

• Scalable Engineering: Write effective, scalable, and maintainable Python code, primarily utilizing the Django framework.

• API Design: Develop and optimize robust Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to be seamlessly consumed by front-end applications.

• Performance Optimization: Develop backend components that improve system responsiveness and overall application performance.

System Security & Maintenance

• Data Protection: Implement advanced security and data protection solutions to safeguard user information and system integrity.

• System Evolution: Assess, prioritize, and implement feature requests while improving the functionality of existing legacy systems.

• Debugging: Rigorously test and debug programs to ensure high availability and a bug-free user experience.

Collaboration & Project Management

• Cross-functional Alignment: Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and translate them into viable technical solutions.

• Agile Integration: Work effectively within an agile environment, demonstrating a basic understanding of front-end technologies and DevOps workflows.

• Multitasking: Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously without compromising on organization or quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical subject is mandatory.

• Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Python development.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Expertise in Django (most preferred) and experience with Flask, FastAPI, or Pyramid.

  • Proven ability to design for scalability, testability, and high availability.

  • Strong understanding of backend-to-frontend integration and DevOps principles.

• Core Competencies:
