Job Description:

We are seeking a high-energy and socially agile Public Relations Assistant to anchor our external communications and brand-building efforts. In the dynamic Nigerian media landscape, success is defined by "Narrative Consistency", the ability to assist in crafting compelling stories that resonate across traditional and digital channels. This role is designed for a "Creative Communicator" who can blend "Meticulous Media Monitoring" with the "Organizational Grit" required to support high-stakes press events and corporate campaigns.

Your mission is to ensure "Seamless Media Coordination and Positive Public Perception." You will be a vital support engine for the PR department: responsible for drafting press releases, managing media contact databases, and monitoring public sentiment to protect the organization's reputation. Requirements:

1. Media Coordination & Relations

• Press Engagement Support: Assist in organizing press conferences, media interviews, and corporate events to ensure maximum positive coverage.

• Database Stewardship: Maintain and update an accurate "Media & Influencer Map," ensuring the PR team can reach the right journalists and content creators at a moment's notice.

• Media Kit Assembly: Prepare high-fidelity media kits, backgrounders, and promotional materials for distribution to the press and stakeholders.

2. Content Creation & Digital Presence

• Drafting Excellence: Support the PR Lead in drafting professional press releases, executive speeches, and internal newsletters.

• Digital Synergy: Collaborate with the social media team to ensure that public relations messaging is consistently amplified across digital platforms.

• Storytelling: Identify interesting "Brand Stories" within the organization and assist in pitching them to relevant media outlets.

3. Reputation Monitoring & Intelligence

• Media Surveillance: Monitor daily news, social media mentions, and industry trends to track the organization's public sentiment and competitor activities.

• Reporting Fidelity: Prepare periodic "Media Impact Reports" that quantify the reach and tone of public relations activities.

• Crisis Support: Assist in the rapid dissemination of information during crisis communication scenarios, ensuring accuracy and speed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Candidates should possess a Relevant Qualification (e.g., Degree or Diploma in Mass Communication, Public Relations, International Relations, or English Language).

• Skills: Strong command of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
