Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber and analytically rigorous Product Manager – Economics to anchor our Personal & Private Banking division in Victoria Island. In the sophisticated landscape of private banking, success is defined by "Predictive Profitability", the ability to harmonize macroeconomic trends with granular customer behavior to engineer high-yield, low-risk product portfolios. This role is designed for a "Portfolio Architect" with 7–13 years of experience who can blend "Advanced Mathematical Modeling" with the "Strategic Grit" required to optimize revenue points across digital and traditional platforms.
Your mission is to ensure "Absolute Portfolio Growth and Behavioral Optimization." You will be the primary engine of economic intelligence: responsible for sourcing external data (Credit Bureaus, Deeds Office), automating performance dashboards, and applying behavioral economics to campaign design. If you possess "Exceptional Financial Acumen," a background in Mathematical Sciences, and a proactive approach to digitizing value streams, we want you to drive our economic sovereignty.
Requirements:
1. Portfolio Architecture & Economic Intelligence
Economic Trend Analysis: Analyze product and economic trends against expected performance, preparing bespoke reporting and strategic recommendations.
Data Synthesis: Decide on the most suitable internal and external data sources (e.g., Credit Bureau, Deeds office, XDS) to identify cross-selling opportunities and overlay them with internal portfolio metrics.
Modeling & Maintenance: Provide daily maintenance to existing models, conducting root cause analysis when models malfunction and recommending immediate remediation.
2. Profitability Engineering & Behavioral Design
Margin Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve customer base profitability (e.g., amending interest rate calculations) without compromising customer trust or experience.
Behavioral Campaigns: Integrate behavioral economics and marketing best practices into campaign briefs to determine the most effective approach for targeting high-net-worth customers.
Pricing Sovereignty: Monitor pricing trends to provide inputs for minimum and recommended pricing strategies, ensuring our market competitiveness.
3. Performance Governance & Digitization
Dashboard Management: Implement and maintain high-fidelity performance dashboards for the allocated portfolio, collaborating with PBB Finance and Customer Insights.
Digital Transformation: Identify critical value stream components and features that need to be digitized based on the bank's eCommerce and pricing strategies.
Automation Leadership: Identify opportunities to automate standard reports and drive automation initiatives across the stakeholder landscape.
4. Risk Management & Reporting
Risk Advisory: Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify potential risks within the allocated portfolio and advise line management on appropriate business rules and mitigation processes.
Committee Presentation: Prepare and present prototype findings and in-depth analysis results to Risk and Compliance Committees (e.g., NABPPS).
Target Setting: Provide data-driven input into product target setting and budgeting cycles (RE's, Shape, etc.).
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: First Degree in Finance and Accounting or Mathematical Sciences.
Experience: 7–13 years of robust experience in economic trend analysis and portfolio reporting.
Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Actuarial, Mathematical, or Financial Modeling and advanced analytics. Experience within Banking is highly advantageous.

Core Competencies
Interpreting Data: Exceptional ability to examine complex information and explore possibilities.
Strategic Thinking: Strong generating ideas and seizing opportunities to optimize revenue.
