Job Description:

We are seeking a data-driven and commercially astute Procurement Operations Analyst to join our team in Lagos. In the engineering procurement sector, success is defined by "Total Cost of Ownership", the ability to source complex technical components while maintaining aggressive margins and 48-hour turnaround times. This role is designed for a "Spreadsheet Ninja", a professional with at least 3 years of engineering procurement experience who can blend high-level negotiation with the "Analytical Grit" required for deep costing analysis and vendor ranking.

Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Friction Sourcing and Maximum Value Extraction." You will be the primary engine of our RFQ lifecycle: responsible for treating client requests, managing a global supplier database, and utilizing CRM systems to track every transaction. If you possess "Negotiation Mastery," an obsession with detail, and the ability to co-create solutions with the sales team, we want you to drive our procurement excellence.

Requirements:

1. RFQ Orchestration & Cost Engineering

• Technical Sourcing: Lead the end-to-end Request for Quote (RFQ) process, sourcing specialized engineering components from both local and international markets (Direct/Indirect).

• Margin Optimization: Compile detailed cost breakdowns and assessment reports, ensuring all quotes align with the right cost centers while protecting company margins.

• Alternative Procurement: Provide strategic recommendations on alternative sourcing methods or materials to attract cost savings without compromising on quality.

2. Vendor Ecosystem & Performance Management

• Strategic Partnering: Onboard and manage new and existing vendors, ensuring they meet rigorous Service Level Agreements (SLAs) regarding pricing and quality.

• Supplier Ranking: Maintain a data-driven leaderboard, constantly tracking and ranking suppliers on speed of response, reliability, and technical compliance to guide future choices.

• SLA Governance: Partner with the Sales team to maintain a 48-hour response window for all client requests, ensuring high internal customer satisfaction.

3. Data Integrity & CRM Management

• System Stewardship: Utilize a CRM system to track 100% of procurement requests, ensuring zero "lost" tickets and a transparent audit trail.

• Analytical Precision: Leverage advanced Excel skills to perform complex costing analysis, trend identification, and spend management.

• Database Security: Ensure the company’s proprietary supplier database and sensitive pricing information are kept secure and up to date at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years specifically within Engineering Procurement.

• Technical Mastery: High proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Macros) and familiar with CRM/ERP workflows.

Core Competencies

• Negotiation Grit: Proven ability to secure the "best value for money" across local and international supplier networks.

• Analytical Prowess: A deep understanding of costing analysis, margins, and procurement methodologies.
