Job Description:
Contract Management & Administration:
- Draft, review, and support negotiation of procurement and service contracts for upstream oil & gas operations (drilling, production, facilities, and maintenance services)
- Ensure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory, HSE, and company governance requirements
- Maintain a structured contract database and track key milestones including renewals, expirations, and deliverables
- Monitor contractor performance and support resolution of claims, disputes, and contractual variations
- Ensure alignment of contract terms with operational and project requirements
Procurement Strategy & Execution:
- Support the development and execution of procurement plans aligned with drilling programs, maintenance schedules, and project timelines
- Source, prequalify, and onboard vendors, service providers, and OEM suppliers in the upstream oil & gas value chain
- Conduct market intelligence, supplier benchmarking, and pricing analysis within the oilfield services sector
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes including RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluations, technical/commercial evaluations, and purchase orders
- Apply INCOTERMS in international procurement and logistics coordination, ensuring clarity in delivery terms, risk transfer, and customs handling
- Liaise with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure accurate technical specifications and scope definition
Cost Control & Value Optimization:
- Identify cost optimization opportunities through strategic sourcing, framework agreements, and vendor consolidation
- Monitor procurement spend against approved budgets and project cost control baselines
- Support negotiations to achieve best value while maintaining technical compliance and quality standards
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate invoice verification, timely payment processing, and procurement reconciliation
Compliance, Risk & HSE Management:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal controls, procurement policies, and audit requirements
- Conduct supplier due diligence, including financial, technical, HSE, and ESG compliance assessments
- Maintain supplier records in line with regulatory and company standards for upstream operations
- Support internal and external audits by providing procurement documentation and clarifications
- Promote ethical sourcing practices and ensure adherence to anti-corruption and governance standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields
- Professional certification is an advantage (e.g., CIPS, ISM, PMP, or equivalent)
- 3 - 7 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within the upstream oil & gas industry or related EPC/energy sector
- Strong understanding of oilfield services, drilling operations, and technical procurement requirements
- Knowledge of international sourcing, logistics, and INCOTERMS
- Familiarity with contract law fundamentals and commercial negotiation principles
- Experience working with ERP systems.
