Job Description:

We are seeking a highly analytical, commercially astute, and rigorously compliance-oriented Procurement Officer to lead our centralized supply chain operations in Ikoyi. Operating within the high-stakes environment of Commercial Real Estate and premium corporate hospitality, this role demands absolute operational ownership of the end-to-end purchasing ecosystem.

You will bridge the gap between heavy structural facility procurement and high-turnover hospitality sourcing (food ingredients, luxury packaging, and beverages). Your mandate is to design cost-efficient vendor architectures, negotiate bulletproof service level agreements (SLAs), and guarantee uninterrupted supply continuity while enforcing the highest standards of food safety, health, safety, and environment (HSE) protocols, and administrative audit readiness.

Requirements:

1. Procurement Strategy & Cost Optimization

  • Policy Architecture: Formulate, deploy, and refine institutional procurement frameworks that directly preserve company profit margins and align with overarching corporate objectives.

  • Strategic Sourcing: Lead the sourcing and timely acquisition of premium food ingredients, high-end beverages, culinary packaging, and general operational supplies according to approved technical specifications.

  • Contract Engineering: Negotiate high-volume pricing agreements and contractual terms with suppliers to secure competitive rates, flexible credit windows, and long-term cost efficiencies while systematically eliminating substandard products.

2. Vendor Governance & Supply Chain Resilience

  • Merchant Onboarding: Identify, evaluate, and onboard a robust panel of reliable wholesale vendors, farmers, and distributors capable of ensuring consistent quality and price stability.

  • Performance Metrics Auditing: Maintain strict oversight of active suppliers by tracking and scoring operational KPIs, including delivery timeline precision, product batch quality, and overall contractual compliance.

  • Proactive Crisis Resolution: Identify market supply chain bottlenecks, seasonal inflation spikes, or logistics disruptions early, executing proactive mitigation strategies to protect daily business operations from stockouts.

3. Regulatory Compliance, HSE & Quality Assurance

  • Hygiene Standard Enforcement: Guarantee that all procured culinary items and consumables meet strict national food safety, sanitation, and regulatory hygiene benchmarks.

  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner closely with internal HSE teams and kitchen executives to audit cold-chain logistics, storage conditions, and compliance with internal and statutory safety rules.

  • Risk Management: Maintain total alignment with local, state, and federal guidelines governing commercial real estate management, corporate trade, and food handling.

4. Document Control & Data Hygiene

  • Airtight Audit Trails: Establish and maintain an immaculate physical and digital registry of all purchasing lifecycles—including formal Purchase Requisitions, verified Purchase Orders (POs), active supplier contracts, and approved pricing sheets.

  • Spend Analytics Reporting: Leverage specialized procurement software and advanced spreadsheet dashboards to monitor cost variances, analyze spend velocity, and present regular performance briefs to the executive leadership team.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Academic Tracks

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a strictly related quantitative/management discipline from an accredited tertiary institution.

Experience & Sector Footprint

  • Domain Longevity: Minimum of five (5) years of progressive, verifiable experience operating within a structured procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management capacity.

  • Sector Specialization: Direct procurement experience within Commercial Real Estate, Luxury Corporate Hospitality, Premium Quick-Service Restaurants (QSR), or Corporate Facilities Management is highly advantageous.

Technical Competencies & Skill Matrix

  • Commercial Negotiation: Master-level contract negotiation and vendor management capability, with a demonstrable history of reducing total cost of ownership (TCO).

  • Data & Analytics Tool Stack: Deep operational proficiency utilizing specialized procurement/inventory software, coupled with strong computer skills across Microsoft Excel (data modeling, cost tracking), Word, PowerPoint, and Zoom.

  • Execution & Drive: Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, with the structural resilience required to multitask and deliver results within a fast-paced corporate landscape.

  • Communication Core: Elite verbal and written English communication skills, with the polished corporate presence required to engage high-level suppliers and institutional partners.
