Job Description:
Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for streamlining restaurant operations? We are looking for a Procurement Officer to join our team and manage the sourcing, purchasing, and timely delivery of essential goods and services.
This role is critical to maintaining our high standards and ensuring operational efficiency. You will act as the primary liaison between our restaurant operations and our supply chain, ensuring we receive the best quality at the best value.
Requirements:
Supplier Management & Negotiation: Source suppliers, obtain competitive quotations, and negotiate favorable pricing, quality standards, and payment terms.
Order Fulfillment: Process departmental purchase requests and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
Order Verification: Inspect incoming orders for accuracy against purchase orders and verify invoices before payment processing.
Data & Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records, including supplier databases, purchase orders, and procurement filing systems.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.
Compliance: Ensure all activities align with company procurement policies, food safety regulations, and standard operational procedures.
Relationship Building: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: HND or Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience: 2–3 years of proven experience in procurement, specifically within the hospitality, restaurant, or food service industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel for tracking and reporting.
Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of procurement workflows, supplier management, and inventory control techniques.
Soft Skills:
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
