Job Description:

We are seeking an analytical and efficient Procurement Officer to support our DSR Apapa operations. You will be the vital link in our supply chain, ensuring that agricultural inputs, refinery spare parts, and essential field equipment are sourced, purchased, and delivered with precision. If you have a solid grasp of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, proficiency in SAP MM, and a knack for vendor negotiation, this is an excellent opportunity to drive cost-efficiency in a high-stakes operational environment.

Requirements:

• Strategic Sourcing: Identify and prequalify high-quality suppliers. You will handle the full request-for-quotation (RFQ) process, performing comparative bid analyses to ensure we achieve the best balance of cost and technical suitability.

• Procurement Execution: Manage the entire P2P cycle—from validating Purchase Requisitions (PRs) to processing Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP MM. You will coordinate approval workflows and ensure POs are issued on time.

• Supply Chain Liaison: Work closely with logistics, warehouse, agricultural, and finance departments to track deliveries and ensure invoices are processed without bottlenecks.

• Vendor & Contract Management: Oversee supplier performance, maintain physical and digital procurement records, and foster local vendor development to improve supply chain resilience in the Numan region and beyond.

• Reporting & Compliance: Generate spend analysis reports, conduct vendor reviews, and ensure all procurement activities are fully compliant with internal controls and audit requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: B.Sc. or HND in Engineering, Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, Economics, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of core procurement experience. Prior experience in import/export or refinery operations is a distinct advantage.

• Technical Mastery:

  • Software: Proven proficiency in SAP MM.

  • Trade Finance: Strong working knowledge of import documentation and trade finance instruments.

  • Strategic Sourcing: Ability to conduct comparative bid analysis and manage complex vendor contracts.

• Competency Level: Intermediate (Level 2).
