Job Description:
We are seeking a commercially astute and highly organized Procurement Manager to anchor our supply chain operations in Ibadan. In a volatile economic landscape, success is defined by "Value Engineering", the ability to secure high-quality goods and services at optimal price points while ensuring 100% supply chain continuity. This role is designed for a "Strategic Negotiator" who can blend "Market Intelligence" with the rigorous "Compliance Oversight" required to manage vendor contracts and large-scale procurement budgets.
Your mission is to ensure "Operational Resilience and Cost-Efficiency." You will be the primary steward of our spending: responsible for identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating high-value contracts, and optimizing the entire procurement lifecycle. If you possess "Analytical Prowess," a mastery of ERP systems, and the integrity required to uphold ethical sourcing standards, we want you to drive our organizational excellence.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Diplomacy
Supplier Architecture: Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-performing vendors that align with the company’s quality and cost standards.
Negotiation Mastery: Lead complex negotiations to secure favorable credit terms, volume discounts, and robust Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Relationship Management: Maintain a diversified and resilient vendor database to mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions.
2. Financial Integrity & Cost Optimization
Spend Analysis: Monitor and analyze procurement expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities and prevent budget leaks.
Budgetary Governance: Collaborate with the Finance team to manage procurement budgets, ensuring that all expenditures are justified and value-driven.
Inventory Synchronization: Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure procurement cycles align with inventory levels, preventing overstocking or stock-outs.
3. Compliance & Process Excellence
Contract Stewardship: Draft, review, and manage legally sound procurement contracts, ensuring that all terms protect the organization’s interests.
Audit Readiness: Maintain meticulous records of purchase orders, invoices, and tender documents to ensure 100% compliance with internal and external audits.
Procurement Technology: Leverage ERP or e-procurement software to automate workflows, improve transparency, and accelerate approval cycles.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
Experience: Proven experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain role, preferably with a track record of managing high-value vendor portfolios.
Technical Mastery: Proficiency in ERP software (such as SAP, Oracle, or Odoo) and advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
