About Company:

BT Health and Diagnostic Centre (BTHDC) is an ultra-modern Diagnostic Center facility which provides Radiology and laboratory services at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja Lagos. BTHDC is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) between PPC Limited and Lagos State Government. PPC Limited is affiliated to Philips Medical System (PMS), a global leader in providing clinical management and diagnostic technology, and have been successful in transferring latest technology to the healthcare industry in Nigeria.

Job Description:

We are seeking a high-integrity and strategically minded Procurement Manager to lead the supply chain function for our Ikeja diagnostic facility. In a clinical setting, procurement is the lifeline of patient care; a delay in reagent supply or equipment maintenance directly impacts diagnostic accuracy and lives. This role is designed for a "Value Architect", a professional with 3–6 years of experience who can blend aggressive cost negotiation with the technical precision required to source specialized medical equipment and laboratory consumables.

Your mission is to ensure "Uninterrupted Clinical Operations and Fiscal Efficiency." You will be the primary link between global suppliers and our medical teams: responsible for forecasting diagnostic needs, managing vendor performance, and ensuring every procured item meets rigorous health and safety standards. If you possess "Operational Grit" and a deep understanding of medical inventory dynamics, we want you to drive our procurement excellence.

Requirements:

1. Strategic Sourcing & Clinical Planning

  • Procurement Architecture: Develop and implement sourcing strategies tailored to the unique demands of a diagnostic centre, covering everything from high-end radiology equipment to daily lab reagents.

  • Demand Forecasting: Analyze patient volumes and clinical trends to forecast supply needs, ensuring a "Just-in-Time" delivery model that prevents both stock-outs and expensive overstocking.

  • Budgetary Governance: Partner with Finance and Department Heads to manage the annual procurement budget, identifying high-impact areas for cost-saving without compromising quality.

2. Vendor Ecosystem & Contract Management

  • Supplier Stewardship: Identify, vet, and onboard reliable vendors for medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and general office supplies, maintaining a robust and diverse supplier base.

  • Negotiation Mastery: Lead high-stakes negotiations on pricing, payment terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to achieve maximum value for the organization.

  • Performance Audits: Conduct periodic vendor reviews to ensure suppliers consistently meet delivery timelines, quality specifications, and regulatory compliance.

3. Inventory Integration & Quality Assurance

  • Stock Synergy: Collaborate closely with the Store/Inventory unit to monitor usage trends and support stock reconciliation processes, ensuring clinical reagents are utilized before expiration.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Verify that all medical supplies and diagnostic equipment meet NAFDAC, HEFAMAA, and other relevant international quality standards.

  • Documentation Integrity: Maintain meticulous, audit-ready records of all procurement activities, contracts, and quality certifications to ensure total transparency and accountability.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or a related technical field.

  • Experience: 3–6 years of progressive experience in procurement, ideally within the Healthcare, Diagnostic, or Pharmaceutical sectors.

  • Technical Savvy: High proficiency in Inventory Management Software and Microsoft Office tools for data-driven reporting.

Core Competencies

  • Negotiation Grit: A proven ability to secure competitive pricing while maintaining high-quality service standards.

  • Analytical Precision: Strong skills in forecasting and expense tracking to drive cost-reduction initiatives.

  • Interpersonal Diplomacy: The ability to liaise effectively between clinical teams (Lab, Radiology, Nursing) and external commercial partners.
