Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and ethical Pharmacy Technician to join our clinical team in Lagos. This is a high-trust role designed for a professional who understands that accuracy in the pharmacy is the final safeguard in patient care.
Your mission is to support the Pharmacist in the seamless preparation and dispensing of medications while providing empathetic, expert advice to our patients. From managing complex insurance claims to conducting inventory audits of life-saving drugs, you will ensure our pharmacy operates with "Zero-Error" precision. If you are a certified technician residing in the Magodo/Ketu axis with a passion for pharmaceutical excellence, we want you on our team.
Requirements:
1. Prescription Governance & Dispensing
Verification Excellence: Accept and evaluate written prescriptions or refill requests for clinical completeness, ensuring all doctor’s orders are accurate before processing.
Technical Dispensing: Accurately count medications, fill prescriptions, and generate precise dosage labels to ensure patient safety.
Confidentiality: Maintain meticulous medical histories and patient records in strict compliance with ethical standards and data protection regulations.
2. Patient Advocacy & Clinical Support
Customer Service: Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, responding to inquiries about over-the-counter treatments and the proper use of medical equipment.
Health Screenings: Assist the Pharmacist in conducting basic health checks and medication reviews to improve patient health outcomes.
Insurance Navigation: Process patient insurance claims efficiently, ensuring that financial barriers to medication access are minimized for our clients.
3. Inventory & Supply Chain Integrity
Audit Management: Conduct regular inventory audits to monitor stock levels, expiration dates, and the storage conditions of temperature-sensitive medications.
Procurement Support: Manage the purchasing of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals to ensure the hospital never faces a stock-out of critical medicines.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Certification: Must possess a valid Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
Education: BA/BSc/HND in a relevant field.
Location: Must reside in Magodo GRA Phase 2, Ketu, or very close environs. (Residency is a critical requirement for this role).
Core Competencies
Attention to Detail: Absolute precision in counting, typing, and labeling medications.
Ethical Standards: High level of integrity regarding patient confidentiality and drug handling.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to handle patient inquiries with empathy and clarity.
