Job Description:
We are seeking a technically rigorous and patient-centric Pharmacist to anchor our pharmaceutical services at EHA Clinics. In a high-standard clinical environment, success is defined by "Therapeutic Precision", the ability to validate complex prescriptions, identify potential adverse drug reactions (ADRs), and provide counseling that empowers patients to manage their health effectively. This role is designed for a "Clinical Ally" with 2+ years of post-NYSC experience who can blend "Pharmacological Expertise" with the "Emotional Intelligence" required to alleviate patient anxiety and fear.
Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Error Medication Management and Optimized Treatment Outcomes." You will be a vital link in the care chain: responsible for everything from inventory governance and policy development to age-specific drug therapy and community health outreach. If you possess "Analytical Focus," a valid PCN license, and a commitment to evidence-based pharmaceutical care, we want you to drive our mission of quality healthcare delivery.
Requirements:
1. Pharmaceutical Care & Diagnostic Interpretation
Prescription Governance: Review and execute physician prescriptions, rigorously checking for clinical appropriateness, dosage accuracy, and legal compliance.
Symptom Interpretation: Assess patient symptoms to provide immediate treatment for minor conditions or facilitate professional referrals to doctors for complex issues.
Patient Needs Assessment: Deliver tailored pharmaceutical care, including age and disease-specific drug therapy adjustments based on real-time patient response.
2. Operational Excellence & Inventory Stewardship
Dynamic Inventory Control: Maintain a high-fidelity, automated inventory of the clinic’s drug formulary, ensuring all doses and prices are accurately recorded.
Supply Chain Integrity: Maintain full control over the delivery, stocking, and labeling of medicines to ensure products are easily identifiable and stored under optimal conditions.
Policy Architecture: Continuously review and develop the clinic’s pharmacy regulations and teaching manuals to align with global best practices.
3. Patient Education & Risk Management
Therapeutic Counseling: Develop and implement comprehensive teaching plans to educate patients and families on medication adherence and potential side effects.
Clinical Risk Mitigation: Implement infection-control protocols and proactively identify interventions to minimize or avoid adverse drug reactions.
Emotional Advocacy: Provide psychological support to patients, utilizing professional communication to alleviate fear and promote health restoration.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm), M.Pharm, or PharmD.
Licensure: Mandatory registered membership with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) with an up-to-date practicing license.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years post-NYSC progressive experience in pharmacy (Private and Public sector experience is ideal).
Core Competencies
Analytical Grit: Ability to judge complex clinical situations and take rapid, evidence-based decisions.
Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency in cosmetics, para-pharmaceuticals, and public health systems.
Ethical Leadership: Strict adherence to the EHA Clinics Code of Conduct and the highest ethical standards of the pharmaceutical field.
