If you have 7+ years of experience in complex HR operations and the negotiation skills to manage diverse stakeholders, we invite you to power the culture at Ikeja Electric.

Requirements:

1. Industrial Relations & Disciplinary Governance

  • Union Diplomacy: Oversee formal and ad-hoc union engagements, ensuring a respectful and proactive relationship with union officials to mitigate workplace friction.

  • Justice & Compliance: Lead the disciplinary process, ensuring every case is handled with transparency and adheres strictly to Nigerian Labor Laws and company policy.

  • Infraction Reduction: Move beyond reactive discipline by designing proactive training and awareness campaigns aimed at reducing employee infractions across all departments.

2. Operational Excellence & Digital Transformation

  • Process Digitalization: Lead the transition from manual records to a future-ready, digital HR ecosystem, ensuring data is secure, accessible, and actionable.

  • Service Delivery: Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration to ensure a seamless "World-Class" employee journey.

  • Policy Architecture: Conduct regular reviews of HR policies in collaboration with legal specialists to ensure they reflect evolving regulatory landscapes.

3. Culture, Engagement & Data Intelligence

  • Employer Branding: Supervise engagement surveys and track improvement plans to enhance Ikeja Electric’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP).

  • Data-Driven Insights: Collaborate with the HR Intelligence team to track metrics on compliance, infractions, and engagement, using these insights to drive continuous operational improvement.

  • Stakeholder Bridge: Partner with HR Business Partners to translate engagement feedback into tangible initiatives that improve retention and workplace satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or Social Sciences.

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in HR Operations, Employee Relations, or Industrial Relations.

  • Technical IQ: Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labor Laws, recruitment best practices, and HR policy implementation.

  • Certification: CIPM (Associate or Chartered) is an added advantage.

Core Competencies

  • Negotiation & Diplomacy: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, particularly in unionized environments.

  • Analytical Thinking: Proficiency in using data to assess performance and mitigate operational risks.

  • Change Leadership: Ability to lead organizational learning and manage the "people side" of HR transformation.

  • Ethical Conduct: High integrity in handling sensitive disciplinary cases and confidential employee records.
