Job Description:

At The Paradigm Architects, we are building a system-driven organization where operational success is not left to chance. We believe in precision, discipline, and excellence at every stage of construction.

We are seeking a structured, systematic, and execution-focused Operations Manager (Construction) to lead our project execution teams. In this role, you will be the engine of our firm, optimizing how we deliver projects ensuring they are always on time, within budget, and to our uncompromising quality standards. If you are an architect of processes who thrives on order and accountability, we want you on our team.

Requirements:

Project & Site Operations

  • End-to-End Oversight: Manage all operational activities across active project sites, ensuring total alignment between design intent and field execution.

  • Execution Control: Develop and monitor project execution plans, track milestones, and proactively identify/resolve operational bottlenecks before they impact the timeline.

  • Leadership: Supervise operational teams across multiple sites, fostering a culture of high performance, discipline, and clear accountability.

Budgeting, Financial & Procurement Oversight

  • Financial Stewardship: Partner with Quantity Surveyors to review BOQs and cost estimates. Monitor project budgets rigorously to prevent cost overruns.

  • Supply Chain: Oversee procurement processes, ensuring the timely sourcing of quality materials and managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.

  • Expense Management: Approve operational expenditures to ensure they remain within company policies and project budget allocations.

Quality, Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Standardization: Design and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that drive consistency across all sites and departments.

  • Audit & Quality: Implement and enforce quality control procedures, ensuring all work meets building codes, safety regulations, and our internal high-performance benchmarks.

  • Optimization: Continuously analyze operational performance to identify inefficiencies and implement strategies that drive cost savings and speed.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Strategic Visibility: Prepare and present operational reports to senior leadership, providing clear updates on project progress, risks, and financial performance.

  • Collaboration: Serve as the bridge between management and site teams, ensuring clear communication and strategic alignment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience: 5–8 years of professional experience in construction operations or project management.

  • Technical Mastery:

    • Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.

    • Strong working knowledge of Nigerian construction regulations, building codes, and safety standards.

    • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.

  • The "Paradigm" Fit:

    • Structured Thinker: You don't just supervise; you build systems that make supervision easier and more effective.

    • Site & Strategy: You are as comfortable on the construction site as you are analyzing a spreadsheet in the boardroom.

    • Discipline-Driven: You are a leader who instills structure and accountability in every team member you manage.

    • Execution-Focused: You have a bias for action and a knack for solving complex problems without compromising quality.
