Job Description:
Tizeti is seeking a high-performance NOC Field Engineer to serve as the frontline guardian of our network ecosystem. In the ISP world, "Uptime is Oxygen." This role is designed for a "Network Combatant"—someone who possesses the technical depth to manage core routing and the physical agility to handle field deployments at base stations.
Your mission is to ensure 99% uptime across our network infrastructure. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of network health—from real-time NOC surveillance and root-cause analysis to the physical installation and configuration of access points and routers. If you are a CCNA/CCNP professional who thrives in a 24/7 on-call environment and can translate complex fault analysis into stable connectivity, we want you to power our service delivery.
Requirements:
1. Surveillance & Incident Response
NOC Vigilance: Perform continuous, real-time network monitoring and incident detection to identify bottlenecks before they impact the end-user.
Rapid Fault Resolution: Execute root-cause analysis (RCA) and resolve hardware/software faults in strict accordance with defined SLAs.
Trouble Ticket Lifecycle: Log, manage, and escalate tickets through to closure, ensuring every network event is documented and resolved within agreed timelines.
2. Field Deployment & Infrastructure Engineering
Base Station Architecture: Build, deploy, and upgrade network equipment (Access Points, Routers, Core Systems) in line with global engineering standards.
Maintenance Stewardship: Carry out both Preventive Maintenance (PM) to prevent outages and Corrective Maintenance (CM) to restore stability during downtime.
Configuration Control: Implement approved network changes using established change management systems to ensure security and stability.
3. Network Performance & Integration
SLA Governance: Ensure all assigned base stations maintain a minimum 99% uptime through active surveillance and hardware repair.
Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Customer Support and Engineering teams to resolve high-priority escalations and improve the "Information Pipeline."
Vendor Liaison: Interface with carriers and third-party vendors to resolve interconnection issues and optimize network performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT.
Academic Standing: Minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) or Upper Credit (HND).
Certifications (Advantage): CCNA is highly desired; CCNP is a significant plus.
Experience: Practical experience in NOC support or Field Engineering within a Telecom or ISP environment.
Core Competencies
Technical Depth: Strong understanding of IP Networking (Routing/Switching) and wireless technologies.
Operational Agility: Willingness to work flexible shifts and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Analytical Prowess: Expert troubleshooting skills for both hardware and logical network layers.
