Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and detail-oriented Microbiologist to anchor the quality engine of Erisco Foods in Ikeja. In a specialized food manufacturing landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the speed of the production line and the precision of the pathogen screen success is defined by "Biological Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize high-volume testing with the clinical precision required for Chemical Analysis, Equipment Calibration, and Hygiene Standards. This role is designed for a "Safety Architect" with a B.Sc. in Microbiology or Food Science and 2+ years of hands-on experience who can blend "Laboratory Grit" (testing raw materials and finished goods) with the "Strategic Agility" required to support internal audits and regulatory inspections.
Requirements:
1. Orchestration & Testing Governance
Testing Sovereignty: Conduct routine microbiological and chemical testing on products with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of Safety Assurance."
Analytical Architecture: Monitor quality across the entire value chain—from raw materials to finished goods—providing the "Structural Foundation" for non-negotiable food safety.
Integrity Stewardship: Maintain accurate and complete test records, ensuring the "Source of Regulatory Compliance" is elite and uncompromised.
2. Tactical Resilience & Maintenance Logic
Calibration Sovereignty: Perform regular equipment maintenance and calibration checks, acting as the primary "Source of Lab Precision."
Hygiene Architecture: Enforce strict hygiene standards across the production floor, providing the "Functional Foundation" for a sterile manufacturing environment.
CAPA Stewardship: Support corrective and preventive action processes to resolve quality deviations, maintaining the "Source of Systemic Improvement."
3. Operational Integrity & Audit Power
Audit Sovereignty: Assist in internal audits and regulatory inspections (NAFDAC/SON), acting as the primary "Source of Institutional Readiness."
Collaboration Architecture: Work closely with production teams on quality improvement initiatives, providing the "Relational Foundation" for operational excellence.
Velocity Logic: Utilize 2+ years of QC expertise to resolve contamination risks in real-time, maximizing the "Source of Safe Product Throughput" in Ikeja.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Microbiology, Food Microbiology, or Food Science and Technology.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a relevant Quality Control (QC) role.
Domain Power: Deep knowledge of Food Safety Standards and microbiological laboratory techniques.
Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced food production environment.
