Job Description:

We are seeking results-driven Marketers to drive the distribution and sales of our premium building materials across Nigeria. Your mission is to build a robust network of contractors, wholesalers, and developers, positioning our products—ranging from galvanized roofing sheets to copper cabling—as the primary choice for construction projects.

While this is a nationwide recruitment, we are placing a strategic priority on Northern Nigerian States. The ideal candidate will have the local market intelligence and networking capability to navigate the unique trade landscapes of the North, ensuring our brand dominates the regional construction supply chain.

Requirements:

1. Portfolio Management & Technical Sales

  • Product Literacy: Effectively market a diverse portfolio including galvanized roofing sheets, steel pipes, zinc, copper wiring cables, premium paints, and industrial nails.

  • Consultative Selling: Act as a technical advisor to clients, explaining product specifications (e.g., gauge thickness for roofing, conductivity for cables) to ensure the right fit for their projects.

  • Inventory Advocacy: Ensure that retailers and distributors maintain adequate stock levels of our full product range.

2. Market Development & Regional Expansion

  • Network Building: Identify and onboard new high-volume distributors, hardware store owners, and large-scale construction firms.

  • Northern Market Strategy: Leverage local knowledge to penetrate key markets in the North, identifying emerging infrastructure projects and private developments.

  • Competitor Intelligence: Monitor market pricing and competitor activities (especially in roofing and cabling) to provide actionable feedback for pricing strategies.

3. Relationship Management & Reporting

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain long-term relationships with site engineers, architects, and procurement officers to secure recurring orders.

  • Performance Tracking: Prepare weekly sales reports, lead conversion rates, and market sentiment analysis for the regional management team.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: Proven experience in Marketing, preferably within the building materials, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors.

  • Geographic Advantage: Candidates with an existing network or deep familiarity with the Northern Nigerian trade environment (Kano, Kaduna, Abuja, etc.) are highly encouraged to apply.

Core Competencies

  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to close high-value bulk contracts with distributors and contractors.

  • Resilience: High energy and the ability to meet and exceed monthly sales targets in a competitive market.

  • Communication: Fluency in English is required; the ability to communicate in local languages (e.g., Hausa) is a significant advantage for the Northern priority zones.
