Job Description:

We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Logistics Manager who understands the courier business from the inside out. In this role, you will be the engine of our distribution network, responsible for managing end-to-end logistics, ensuring split-second timing on deliveries, and relentlessly improving operational efficiency. You will bridge the gap between complex routing technology and the physical movement of goods across our fleet.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a proven track record of optimizing last-mile delivery cycles to reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

Fleet & Dispatch Management

• Multi-Modal Oversight: Manage a diverse courier fleet—including bikes, vans, and cars—to execute both same-day and scheduled delivery windows.

• Real-Time Orchestration: Coordinate real-time dispatch operations and implement immediate rerouting strategies during traffic disruptions or vehicle breakdowns.

• Driver Leadership: Lead daily driver briefings, safety training, and performance reviews to maintain a high standard of professional conduct and efficiency.

Route Optimization & Cost Control

• Strategic Routing: Utilize route planning software to minimize mileage, reduce fuel costs, and improve delivery speed per stop.

• Resource Allocation: Balance driver workloads and vehicle capacity to ensure maximum fleet utilization without compromising service quality.

• Cost Management: Identify and eliminate operational "leaks" to lower the overall cost per delivery.

Technology & Performance Analytics

• Systems Integration: Partner with technology teams to refine the Transportation Management System (TMS) and real-time tracking tools.

• KPI Tracking: Monitor and report on Logistics Performance Indicators (LPIs), specifically focusing on On-Time Delivery (OTD) rates, Return to Origin (RTO) rates, and cost per stop.

• Digital Documentation: Ensure 100% compliance with Proof of Delivery (POD) systems and digital manifest accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in logistics management, specifically within the courier or last-mile service sector.

  • Hands-on experience with real-time tracking systems and POD software.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in logistics software and TMS platforms.

  • Advanced route planning and geographical mapping skills.

• Core Competencies:

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to make decisive, effective calls in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

  • Leadership: Strong team management skills with a focus on driver engagement and accountability.

  • Communication: Clear and concise reporting and interpersonal skills for coordinating between dispatchers and management.
