Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Logistics Head to serve as the strategic lead for our driver outsourcing and fleet logistics function in Lagos. In the leasing and outsourcing sector, the "Product" is the reliability and integrity of the personnel provided. This role is designed for a "Risk & Operations Strategist", a professional who can blend rigorous HR-style vetting (KYC) with the operational fast-paced nature of Lagos logistics to ensure 100% compliance and client satisfaction.

Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Risk Personnel Deployment." You will be responsible for the entire driver lifecycle: from high-integrity recruitment and KYC verification of sureties to performance auditing and error-free payroll management. If you possess a "Governance-First" mindset and the professional grit to manage large pools of outsourced talent while meeting strict corporate KPIs, we want you to lead our logistics division.

Requirements:

1. Integrated Risk & Identity Governance (KYC)

• Verification Excellence: Lead the end-to-end KYC (Know Your Customer) process for all drivers and their sureties, ensuring absolute validation of identity, residence, and past work history.

• Surety Mapping: Maintain a foolproof tracking system that allows for the immediate location of any driver or their guarantor/surety at any given time.

• Document Integrity: Ensure every driver possesses genuine, up-to-date legal requirements, including Driver’s Licenses and Test Certificates, with a proactive system for renewals.

2. Workforce Engineering & Performance Management

• Strategic Recruitment: Source and onboard high-quality drivers, ensuring they undergo mandatory contract driving certifications and official tests from the Lagos State Drivers' Institute (Oshodi) or Road Safety.

• Continuous Training: Implement a "Retraining Loop" to provide a standby pool of certified drivers, ensuring the fleet is never understaffed.

• Performance Auditing: Execute regular evaluations of outsourced drivers against their terms of engagement, taking swift corrective actions where strategic targets or service levels are missed.

3. Corporate Governance & Fiscal Accuracy

• Payroll Stewardship: Oversee the timely and error-free preparation of the drivers' payroll, ensuring zero tolerance for ghost workers, omissions, or unauthorized charges.

• Statutory Compliance: Develop systems that ensure the timely remittance of all statutory returns and the maintenance of a transparent corporate governance framework.

• Strategic Reporting: Lead monthly strategy meetings and provide quarterly performance reports that alert senior management to shifts in the strategic landscape.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Experience: Proven experience in a senior Logistics or Fleet Management role, specifically within Outsourcing or Leasing.

• Lagos Expertise: Deep familiarity with Lagos transport regulations and institutes (e.g., LASDRI).

• Leadership Grit: Strong ability to manage large-scale driver pools and navigate complex surety/verification challenges.
