Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistic Assistants Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing an effective and efficient logistics and inventory control system for SARMAAN II commodities and medicines. You will work closely with the Supply Chain Officer, Supply Chain Technical Assistant, and the Admin Officer to ensure our distribution operations in Kebbi are seamless, accurate, and timely.

Requirements:

Program Support & Implementation

  • Provide operational support to the Supply Chain Officer, Supply Chain Technical Assistant, Admin Officer, State Central Medical Stores (SCMS), and the LMCU.

  • Perform "pick and pack" duties for medicines (AZM), implementation tools, training materials, and visibility materials for each round.

  • Manage the sorting, counting, and documentation of AZM returned to the Central Medical Store (CMS) at the end of each round.

  • Support the physical verification of commodities with vendors during receipts and prior to dispatch during Last Mile Distribution (LMD).

Inventory Control & Compliance

  • Ensure all delivery notes and waybills are correctly signed and issued to vendors during LMD.

  • Separate empty bottles from unused ones, ensuring they are clearly labeled and accounted for.

  • Assist in monitoring the delivery of SARMAAN II commodities, escalating any discrepancies in quantity or quality issues immediately.

  • Support the monthly stock status assessment of all SARMAAN II commodities at the State Central Medical Store.

  • Support the conduct of Post-Last Mile Distribution (POD) reconciliation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: A minimum of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE).

  • Experience: At least 1 year of working experience in Commodity Logistics and supply management.

  • Technical Skills: * Must be computer literate.

    • Experience in the "pick and pack" of public health commodities is a strong added advantage.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Ability to work effectively under pressure, both as a team member and independently with minimal supervision.

    • A collaborative and flexible working style with a strong service mentality.

    • Flexibility: Willingness to work beyond normal working hours to meet urgent project deliverables.
