Job Description:
A reputable law firm is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Legal Associate with strong expertise in litigation and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing client representation across various legal platforms, preparing legal documentation, and providing sound legal counsel on complex matters. Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients effectively in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution forums.
Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
Provide strategic legal advice on litigation issues and commercial disputes.
Liaise with external counsel, court personnel, and regulatory bodies.
Conduct thorough legal research and formulate case strategies.
Ensure all legal actions comply with relevant laws and regulatory standards.
Attend court sessions and manage follow-up on ongoing cases.
Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and legal records.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for document preparation and communication.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 2–3 years post-call experience with a strong focus on litigation and dispute resolution.
Demonstrated experience in managing commercial litigation and arbitration cases.
Exceptional legal research, analytical, and drafting capabilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team structure.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Must be a registered and active member of the Nigerian Bar Association in good standing.
