Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Loan Officer (Collateral) to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our SME portfolio by sourcing high-quality clients, performing rigorous collateral assessments, and ensuring the long-term health of our loan assets. You will serve as a key point of contact for small and medium enterprises, helping them secure the funding they need while maintaining strict adherence to our credit risk policies.

Requirements:

• Client Sourcing & Onboarding: Proactively identify, engage, and onboard qualified SME clients seeking collateral-backed loan facilities to drive portfolio growth.

• Collateral Appraisal: Conduct thorough site visits, physical inspections, and valuations of proposed collateral to ensure security adequacy and mitigate risk.

• Credit Analysis: Evaluate loan applications with precision, ensuring full compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory standards, and established lending procedures.

• Portfolio Management: Proactively monitor the performance of your assigned loan portfolio, maintaining high asset quality through consistent client follow-up and effective delinquency management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in lending, credit analysis, loan administration, or microfinance operations.

• Technical Expertise: A strong working knowledge of collateral-backed lending structures, credit risk assessment methodologies, and modern risk management principles.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with a proven ability to build trust with SME business owners.

• Performance-Driven: A demonstrated ability to meet and exceed ambitious loan origination and portfolio growth targets.
