Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized IT Asset Officer to ensure the integrity, availability, and accountability of our organization's IT resources. You will be the custodian of our IT asset register, ensuring that every piece of technology from procurement to decommissioning, is meticulously tracked and managed. If you have a passion for inventory precision and operational efficiency, we want you on our team.

Requirements:

  • Asset Register Management: Organize, monitor, and maintain an accurate, real-time IT asset register.

  • Procurement Compliance: Verify supplier deliveries to ensure they meet strict contractual requirements regarding quality, quantity, and pricing.

  • Policy Enforcement: Implement and adhere to IT asset management policies, ensuring that every asset received or issued follows documented procedures.

  • Accountability & Tracking: Proactively track and reconcile missing assets, ensuring that all equipment is accounted for through regular audits.

  • SLA Management: Ensure all asset-related service tickets are resolved promptly within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Inventory Optimization: Maintain high inventory accuracy through systematic labeling, bin allocation, and efficient warehouse organization.

  • Reporting: Prepare and submit consistent weekly reports on asset issuance, service ticket performance, and stock status.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: 5–8 years of professional experience in asset management, warehouse operations, inventory control, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for tracking and reporting.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Strong understanding of inventory control and asset tracking methodologies.

    • Meticulous attention to detail and high levels of organizational discipline.

    • Excellent communication skills for managing stakeholders and vendor relationships.

  • Bonus: Knowledge of ITIL principles will be considered a significant advantage.
