Job Description:
We are seeking an analytically driven Inventory Data Analyst to serve as the strategic bridge between our warehouse operations and retail storefronts. In this role, you will be the guardian of stock integrity, moving beyond simple counting to provide high-level data insights that drive availability, minimize shrinkage, and optimize turnover.
The ideal candidate understands that inventory is not just physical boxes, but data points that tell a story of sales patterns, aging, and efficiency. If you have 3+ years of experience in retail or supply chain analytics and can transform complex datasets into actionable redistribution and restocking strategies, we want you on our team.
Requirements:
1. Inventory Control & Variance Governance
System Integrity: Monitor and maintain pristine inventory records across the warehouse and all retail locations, ensuring the e-commerce arm and physical stores are perfectly synced.
Audit Leadership: Lead periodic cycle counts and full inventory audits, performing rigorous reconciliations between physical stock and system records.
Loss Mitigation: Investigate variances immediately, tracking damaged, returned, and obsolete stock to reduce shrinkage and improve overall operational discipline.
2. Data Analytics & Strategic Reporting
Performance Metrics: Track and analyze critical KPIs including Stock Turnover, Sell-Through Rate (STR), and Stock Aging.
Redistribution Strategy: Identify slow-moving vs. fast-moving items, providing data-backed recommendations for stock redistribution across stores to maximize sales.
Visual Intelligence: Develop and maintain automated dashboards and trackers (Excel/ERP) that allow management to visualize stock performance in real-time.
3. Retail Support & System Optimization
Dynamic Replenishment: Monitor store-level stock in real-time and initiate timely replenishment from the warehouse to prevent stock-outs during peak or seasonal periods.
Launch & Promotion Support: Lead stock planning and allocation for new store launches and high-traffic promotional campaigns.
Process Automation: Continuously improve inventory tracking templates and ERP workflows to automate reporting and reduce manual data entry errors.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: Minimum of 3 years utilizing data for inventory management within a warehouse, retail, or supply chain environment. (Fashion or high-volume retail experience is a major plus).
Technical IQ: Mastery of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, and Dashboard creation) and familiarity with ERP/POS systems.
Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to interpret data patterns and solve complex stock discrepancies.
Core Competencies
Analytical Interpretation: Ability to go beyond "what" the numbers are to explain "why" they are moving and "how" to improve them.
Detail Orientation: An obsessive focus on accuracy—recognizing that even minor data errors can lead to major supply chain disruptions.
Collaborative Leadership: Ability to work effectively with both warehouse personnel and retail store managers.
