Job Description:
In this role, you will be the backbone of our operational compliance. You will provide essential support to our internal control programs by executing routine tests, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that our hotel assets and reputation are protected. Requirements:
Daily Control Checks: Conduct routine cash counts, POS reconciliation spot checks, night audit variance reviews, and verify petty cash across all hotel outlets.
Transaction Testing: Sample and audit guest folios, credit card settlements, supplier invoices, and payroll entries to ensure 100% accuracy and policy compliance.
Inventory Verification: Assist with cycle counts for F&B, minibar, and housekeeping stores; document shrinkage and implement loss-prevention measures.
Procurement Oversight: Verify purchase orders, approval matrices, and vendor documentation to detect and prevent unauthorized spending.
Compliance Monitoring: Maintain checklists for statutory, brand, and corporate requirements; prepare detailed weekly control reports and escalate findings to management.
Investigations & Remediation: Support fraud or discrepancy investigations, track corrective actions, and verify the timely closure of all audit findings.
Training & Policy: Assist in rolling out policy updates and deliver control awareness sessions to operational staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in hotel operations, internal audit, or finance. Hands-on exposure to PMS/POS systems (e.g., Opera) is highly advantageous.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, clear and professional reporting capabilities, and a basic forensic mindset.
Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels.
Working Conditions: This is an on-site role. Candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to ensure full coverage of audit windows.
