Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Insurance & Claims Officer to manage our company’s insurance portfolio. In this role, you will act as the vital link between our operations and our insurance providers. You will be responsible for ensuring that all assets from our motor fleet to major project equipment are adequately protected and that any claims are resolved with maximum efficiency. This is a critical administrative and operational role for someone who excels at tracking deadlines, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance.
Requirements:
Policy Management: Maintain a centralized, up-to-date register of all company policies, including Motor, Plant & Machinery, Contractors’ All Risk (CAR), and Group Life.
Renewal Coordination: Proactively track expiration dates to ensure seamless renewals and zero gaps in coverage.
Claims Handling: Lead the end-to-end claims process—from gathering incident reports, photos, and estimates to securing final settlement and monitoring status.
Broker Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for insurance brokers and underwriters regarding endorsements, policy placement, and claims negotiations.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all insurance certificates are organized and accessible. Support project teams by verifying insurance requirements in new contracts.
Reporting: Provide periodic summaries of coverage, claim trends, and pending renewals to executive management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in insurance administration or claims handling. Previous experience working with insurance brokers or in a construction/infrastructure environment is a significant advantage.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) for tracking and reporting.

Exceptional follow-up and tracking skills to manage multiple deadlines.
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to resolve claims issues effectively.
Professionalism: A problem-solving mindset and the ability to maintain confidentiality. A professional certification (e.g., CIIN) is a plus.
