Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Information Security Officer to join our team in Lagos. This senior-level role is critical to our organizational security, compliance, and risk management framework. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and enforcing robust security policies, ensuring regulatory alignment, and mitigating cyber threats to protect our business assets. Requirements:

• Security Governance: Define, implement, and enforce comprehensive information security policies, standards, and governance frameworks across the organization.

• Compliance Management: Ensure full organizational compliance with global and local standards, including ISO 27001, GDPR, and other relevant local data protection regulations.

• Risk Management: Lead end-to-end risk assessments and internal/external audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective mitigation strategies.

• Incident Response: Oversee incident response protocols, managing security breaches and threats with a focus on minimizing business impact and downtime.

• Security Awareness: Design and lead security awareness programs to foster a culture of cybersecurity best practices among employees.

• Strategic Oversight: Continuously evaluate and improve cybersecurity frameworks to stay ahead of emerging threats and ensure long-term business resilience.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a related risk management field.

• Core Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of cybersecurity frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance.

• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to translate complex security risks into business impact assessments for executive leadership.

• Professionalism: Proven track record in successfully navigating security audits and maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance.

• Communication: Ability to communicate security risks and requirements clearly to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
