About Company:

With its strategic location around FCT and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning, it serves families seeking strong academics combined with character-building and extracurricular enrichment.
Job Description:
We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking ICT and Robotics Instructor to inspire the next generation of digital architects and engineers. This is not a traditional IT role; it is a high-impact teaching position designed for an educator who lives at the intersection of computer science, hardware engineering, and pedagogy.
Your mission is to transform students into problem-solvers by delivering engaging, project-based lessons in Coding (Python, Scratch) and Robotics (Arduino, LEGO Mindstorms). You will be responsible for managing a state-of-the-art lab, mentoring competition teams, and fostering an environment where computational thinking becomes second nature. If you can simplify complex AI and robotics concepts for young minds and have a passion for "learning by doing," we want you in our classroom.
Requirements:
1. Curriculum Architecture & Coding Instruction
Project-Based Learning: Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that move beyond theory into tangible tech projects (e.g., game design, automated systems).
Multi-Level Programming: Instruct students in various languages, ranging from Scratch (Block-based) for beginners to Python and C++ for advanced learners.
STEM Integration: Collaborate with the broader academic faculty to integrate ICT and Robotics into the wider science and math curriculum.
2. Practical Robotics & Hardware Engineering
Assembly & Programming: Lead hands-on sessions where students build, wire, and program robots using sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers.
Platform Mastery: Provide expert guidance on platforms such as Arduino, VEX, or LEGO Mindstorms, focusing on both structural integrity and code efficiency.
Troubleshooting Logic: Teach students the systematic process of debugging code and identifying hardware failures.
3. Lab Management & Competition Mentorship
Operational Excellence: Maintain the ICT and Robotics lab, ensuring all equipment is accounted for, safety protocols are followed, and inventory is replenished.
Competition Coaching: Identify high-potential students to form robotics clubs and mentor them for national and international tech competitions.
Assessment & Growth: Use data-driven metrics to track student progress, providing personalized mentorship to bridge learning gaps.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Education (with a technical focus).
Technical Stack: Deep knowledge of Python, C++, and Scratch. Hands-on experience with Arduino, LEGO Mindstorms, or VEX Robotics.
Experience: Previous experience teaching ICT or STEM in a Nigerian school setting is highly preferred.
Pedagogical Skills: Proven ability to simplify complex technical concepts (like AI or logic gates) for different age groups.
Core Competencies
Creativity: A knack for designing fun, "sticky" lessons that keep students engaged.
Patience: The ability to mentor students through the frustration of "bugs" and hardware failures.
Future-Ready: A proactive interest in the latest trends in AI, Machine Learning, and IoT.
