Job Description:
We are seeking a disciplined and ethically-driven Human Resource Officer to manage the day-to-day HR functions supporting our manufacturing and service operations. You will be the backbone of our workforce management, overseeing the full employee lifecycle from high-volume recruitment and onboarding to performance management and labor law compliance. The ideal candidate is an "active" HR professional—someone who is comfortable on the factory floor as much as in the boardroom, ensuring our team is motivated, safe, compliant, and highly productive.
Requirements:
1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Full-Cycle Recruitment: Coordinate the end-to-end hiring process, including drafting technical job descriptions, shortlisting, and conducting rigorous competency-based interviews.
Verification & Compliance: Perform comprehensive background checks and credential verification to maintain workplace integrity.
Onboarding: Design and execute induction schedules that integrate new hires into our safety standards and organizational culture.
2. Workforce Management & Payroll Support
Records & Leave: Maintain meticulous employee records and manage leave administration, ensuring zero gaps in manufacturing shift coverage.
Payroll Inputs: Provide accurate data inputs for monthly payroll, including attendance, overtime, and deductions.
3. Performance & Employee Relations
Performance Culture: Support the implementation of performance appraisal systems and identify training needs for workforce development.
Disciplinary Governance: Manage conflict resolution and disciplinary processes with high integrity and transparency.
Labor Relations: Act as the primary bridge between management and staff to foster a motivated and strike-free work environment.
Welfare & Safety: Oversee staff welfare programs and ensure the facility strictly adheres to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and Nigerian labor laws.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic: HND/BSc in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Tenure: Minimum of 3 years of core HR experience (experience in a Manufacturing environment is highly preferred).
Location: Must be a resident of Ibadan.
Certifications: Professional certification (e.g., CIPM, HRCI) is a significant added advantage.
Core Competencies
Labor Law Mastery: Deep knowledge of the Nigerian Labour Act and fair hiring practices.
Conflict Resolution: Strong negotiation and mediation skills to handle industrial relations.
Integrity: Proven track record of maintaining high confidentiality and ethical conduct.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
