Job Description:

  • The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures across construction sites and project locations.
  • The role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and industry best practices to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce HSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct site safety inspections and audits.
  • Perform risk assessments and hazard identification.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct HSE inductions, training, and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Monitor environmental compliance and waste management.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities.
  • Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation.
  • Recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
  • Promote a positive health, safety, and environmental culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HSE experience in the construction industry.
  • Relevant HSE certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISPON, or equivalent) are required.
  • Knowledge of local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
