We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• The Head of Retail Operations – PayGo Phones will lead the launch, expansion, and scale-up of the Retail PayGo Phone business in Nigeria.
• This role is responsible for building and managing a national retail sales network, onboarding and activating retail outlets, driving sales performance, and overseeing customer repayment collections through the retail channel.
• The ideal candidate will have strong experience in retail operations, sales leadership, channel management, and Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) products.

Responsibilities:

• Build, coach, and manage a national Retail PayGo Phone sales team

• Develop and execute a nationwide retail expansion and growth strategy

• Lead the onboarding, activation, and performance management of retail outlets across Nigeria

• Train retail partners on product features, sales processes, and the PAYG value proposition

• Own and drive retail sales performance and customer repayment collections

• Monitor customer repayments, follow up on arrears, and collaborate with credit teams to reduce default rates

• Manage inventory forecasting, stock levels, and retail product availability

• Ensure compliance with branding guidelines, merchandising standards, and retail partnership agreements

• Track sales, outlet performance, and collections using CRM and sales management tools

• Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field
• 8+ years of sales experience, including at least 4 years in national sales management
• Hands-on experience with PayGo, microfinance, or credit/installment-based consumer sales
• Proven experience building and managing retail or field sales networks
• Strong understanding of collections and credit management
• Excellent leadership, data analysis, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%) within Nigeria.
