Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Head of Marketing (Core) to spearhead the creation and validation of consumer-insight-driven platforms that fuel profitable top-line growth. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for driving brand equity, increasing market share, and shaping the future trajectory of our portfolio through innovative, data-backed strategies.
Requirements:
Brand Growth & Performance: Own the end-to-end brand portfolio performance, focusing on volume, awareness, market penetration, customer loyalty, and premiumization. Translate complex market data into decisive actions that drive short-term results and long-term commercial success.
Strategy & Insights: Champion deep consumer and trade understanding to identify untapped growth opportunities. Embed a culture of data-driven decision-making across the commercial function to unlock demand.
Integrated Execution: Lead the development and flawless implementation of integrated brand plans. Ensure excellence across all consumer touchpoints, including retail, digital, media, and trade marketing.
Innovation Leadership: Drive front-end innovation by identifying, validating, and scaling new growth platforms. Build and manage a balanced, high-impact innovation pipeline that delivers sustained incremental revenue.
Financial & Stakeholder Management: Own the marketing budget, optimizing resource allocation to maximize ROI. Influence senior stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Insights to align marketing strategy with overarching profitability and market share outcomes.
Leadership & Development: Build high-impact cross-functional relationships and coach talent to foster a future-ready, high-performing marketing organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a postgraduate degree in Business or Marketing is highly preferred.
Experience: 6–8 years of professional experience in brand management, consumer insights, or marketing strategy. Proven experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Demonstrated leadership ability at a mid-to-senior level with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.
Proven success in launching and scaling innovation initiatives.
Strong influencing and consulting skills with the ability to navigate complex situations under pressure.
Self-starter mindset with a sharp focus on action and tangible results.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Added Advantage: Proficiency in the Igbo language.
