Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to anchor the social impact engine of our Pan-African operations. In the specialized landscape of continental development across 20+ countries, success is defined by "Social Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize corporate citizenship with the clinical precision required for Community Development, Employee Volunteering, and Strategic Philanthropy. This role is designed for an "Impact Architect" with 10–15+ years of experience who can blend "Relational Grit" (managing NGOs and local governments) with the "Analytical Agility" required to design measurement frameworks and support Group-wide ESG reporting.

Requirements:

1. Strategy Orchestration & Governance

  • Impact Sovereignty: Develop and implement a Group-wide CSR strategy aligned with strategic pillars, acting as the primary "Source of Social Direction."

  • Governance Architecture: Establish a CSR governance framework across diverse business units and countries, providing the "Structural Foundation" for compliant social investment.

  • ESG Stewardship: Provide high-fidelity data to support Group ESG reporting in collaboration with the Head of Sustainability, ensuring the "Source of Accountability" is elite and uncompromised.

2. Tactical Resilience & Community Logic

  • Development Sovereignty: Build and manage long-term community development programs in key operating locations, acting as the primary "Source of Local Stability."

  • Partnership Architecture: Identify and manage high-value partnerships with NGOs and development institutions, providing the "Relational Foundation" for scaled social impact.

  • Philanthropic Stewardship: Oversee the Group’s social investment portfolio and philanthropic contributions, maintaining the "Source of Strategic Giving."

3. Cultural Integrity & Employee Power

  • Volunteering Sovereignty: Develop and manage Group-wide employee volunteering programs, acting as the primary "Source of Staff Engagement."

  • Measurement Architecture: Develop impact measurement frameworks to assess program effectiveness, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for continuous improvement.

  • Velocity Logic: Utilize 10–15+ years of multi-country experience to communicate the Group's social impact story effectively, maximizing the "Source of Reputational Throughput."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Experience: 10 – 15+ years in CSR, social impact, or development programs (Multi-country experience is essential).

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or Public Policy (Master’s preferred).

  • Skills: Proven ability to engage government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders effectively.

  • Competencies: Strong program design, impact evaluation, and cross-cultural collaboration abilities.
