Job Description:

Grants Officer

Requirements:

• The Grants and development Officer is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing financial and in-kind support to advance the organization's mission. 
• This role involves writing grant proposals, engaging with donors, and developing strategic partnerships that support programs, research, infrastructure, and outreach initiatives within the tertiary institution.

Qualifications and Skills:

Grant Sourcing & Proposal Writing:

• Identify funding opportunities and prepare high-quality grant proposals and concept notes.

Donor Engagement & Fundraising:

• Build and maintain relationships with donors; plan and implement fundraising campaigns.

Strategic Partnerships Development:

• Forge partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, corporations, and foundations.

Reporting & Compliance:

• Ensure timely reporting and compliance with donor requirements and grant conditions.

Internal Collaboration:

• Work closely with academic units and program teams to align funding needs with donor priorities.

Research & Communication:

• Conduct donor research and produce persuasive communications like pitch decks and reports.
