Job Description:

We are seeking a mission-driven and intellectually curious Graduate Trainee to join our team in Surulere. At HEI, success is defined by "Response Velocity", the ability to act swiftly and strategically to save lives in emergency situations. This role is a foundational leadership path designed for high-achieving HND/BSc holders who wish to build a career in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), Project Coordination, or Emergency Health Systems.

Your mission is to ensure "Data-Driven Impact and Seamless Program Execution." You will be integrated into the core of our operations: supporting post-crash care initiatives, indigent patient access, and first responder training programs. Requirements:

1. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Stewardship

• Data Fidelity: Assist in the collection and analysis of field data to track the impact of medical interventions and emergency response times.

• Impact Reporting: Support the development of reports that demonstrate HEI’s effectiveness to donors, stakeholders, and government partners.

• Outcome Verification: Help monitor patient outcomes for post-crash care and indigent medical access to ensure resources are reaching those in greatest need.

2. Project Coordination & Emergency Readiness

• Program Orchestration: Assist Project Coordinators in the logistical planning of first responder training and maternal health outreaches.

• Stakeholder Diplomacy: Provide administrative support in coordinating with hospitals, emergency services (FRSC, LASTMA), and community leaders.

• Resource Optimization: Help track the deployment of emergency funds and medical supplies, ensuring 100% accountability in humanitarian aid.

3. Health Systems Strengthening & Advocacy

• Preparedness Advocacy: Support the design and distribution of educational materials aimed at enhancing community emergency preparedness.

• Public Health Research: Assist in researching trends in communicable diseases and malnutrition to inform HEI’s maternal and child health interventions.

• Operational Agility: Rotate through various departments to gain a 360-degree understanding of how a high-impact NGO operates in the Nigerian health sector.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Minimum of HND or BSc Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Health, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences).

• Location Edge: Based in or able to commute easily to Surulere, Lagos.

• Drive: A documented interest in humanitarian work, healthcare, or social impact.

Core Competencies

• Analytical Grit: Comfortable with data entry and basic analysis (Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus).

• Communication Mastery: Excellent written and verbal skills for drafting reports and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
