Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and strategically minded Finance Officer to manage our financial operations in Lagos. Requirements:

1. Fiscal Stewardship & Daily Operations

  • Transaction Integrity: Oversee the end-to-end processing of invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring every entry is accurate and supported by valid documentation.

  • Cash Flow Management: Track bank deposits and payments with precision, maintaining real-time visibility into the company’s liquidity position.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare high-fidelity monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing the board and executive team with an accurate picture of financial health.

2. Regulatory Compliance & Audit Readiness

  • Compliance Governance: Act as the internal champion for regulatory standards, ensuring full adherence to FRC, tax authorities (NRS/FIRS), and AML/CFT reporting guidelines.

  • Audit Orchestration: Lead the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is organized, accessible, and compliant with current statutes.

  • Policy Implementation: Review and implement robust financial policies that mitigate risk and protect the company from emerging fiscal liabilities.

3. Analytical Intelligence & Budget Support

  • Budgetary Precision: Partner with management in budget preparation, monitoring expenditure against projections to identify and act on variances.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage advanced MS Excel skills to synthesize financial data, helping the company optimize operational costs and improve margins.

  • Internal System Governance: Keep all financial software and internal systems up to date with real-time data, serving as the "single source of truth" for the organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: BSc/BA in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

  • Experience: Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role, with a strong understanding of current Nigerian accounting standards and tax laws.

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with industry-standard financial software (ERP/Accounting suites).
