Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned, detail-oriented, and strategic Finance Manager to lead our financial operations in Lagos. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the integrity of our financial data, managing cash flow, and providing the analytical insights necessary to drive the company’s profitability and long-term financial health. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who combines technical accounting expertise with the commercial acumen to guide strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulatory standards.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, perform rigorous variance analysis, and provide accurate financial forecasts to guide departmental spending and investment.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Manage the company’s liquidity, optimize cash positions, and oversee banking relationships to ensure sufficient working capital for operational needs.
Tax & Statutory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all tax regulations (CIT, VAT, WHT, etc.) and oversee all statutory filings to mitigate financial and legal risks.
Internal Controls: Design, implement, and maintain robust internal control frameworks to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure operational efficiency.
Strategic Advisory: Provide actionable financial analysis and reporting to senior management, highlighting risks, opportunities, and the financial impact of business decisions.
Team Leadership: Supervise the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, professional development, and integrity.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Professional Certification: Possession of a professional qualification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, or CIMA) is mandatory for this senior role.
Experience: 5–8 years of progressive experience in financial management, with a strong background in accounting and reporting, ideally within a mid-to-large-sized organization.
