Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and technically grounded Field Sales / Technical Sales Officer to anchor our veterinary pharmaceutical operations in the Ibadan (Oyo) and Abeokuta (Lagos/Ogun) axis. In the specialized agro-allied sector, success is defined by "Clinical Trust", the ability to harmonize commercial sales targets with the technical expertise required to advise farmers and veterinary professionals on product efficacy. This role is designed for a "Field Growth Architect" with at least 1 year of experience who can blend "Direct Marketing Grit" with the "Diagnostic Agility" required to manage large territories and drive brand loyalty.
Requirements:
1. Technical Advocacy & Product Stewardship
Clinical Consulting: Act as a specialized technical advisor, providing high-fidelity information on veterinary pharmaceuticals to poultry farmers, livestock owners, and veterinary clinics.
Portfolio Promotion: Develop and execute sales strategies for the company’s pharmaceutical range, ensuring products are positioned as the "Source of Truth" for animal health.
Technical Support: Support clients through product demonstrations and technical troubleshooting, ensuring proper administration and efficacy of medicines.
2. Territory Governance & Market Acquisition
Customer Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Ibadan and Abeokuta axis to expand the company’s client footprint.
Route Mastery: Manage territory logistics with millimetric precision, ensuring consistent visitation schedules and high-velocity product distribution.
Market Intelligence: Analyze regional trends and competitor activities, providing management with clinical feedback to refine marketing strategies.
3. Sales Orchestration & Relationship Management
Target Achievement: Meet and exceed predefined sales benchmarks through aggressive field engagement and clinical closing techniques.
Relationship Architecture: Build and maintain long-term, high-trust relationships with key distributors, farm managers, and veterinary professionals.
Reporting Integrity: Maintain accurate sales planning and field activity reports, ensuring all data-entry reflects the actual performance of the territory.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Business Administration, or a related technical field. (Must have completed NYSC).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of proven field sales experience (Veterinary pharmaceuticals, Agro-allied, or FMCG).
Location: Must reside in or be highly knowledgeable of the Oyo (Ibadan) or Lagos/Ogun (Abeokuta) territories.
Mobility: Must be able to drive and possess a valid driver’s license; willingness to travel frequently.
