We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager with a strong Civil Engineering background to oversee and manage the structural integrity of our facilities in Asaba, Delta State.
• The ideal candidate will focus on identifying, analyzing, and resolving structural issues, ensuring the safety, functionality, and longevity of our buildings.
• This role combines technical expertise with practical facility management experience to provide solutions that maintain high standards of infrastructure quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the structural maintenance and integrity of all facilities under management.
• Identify, investigate, and propose solutions for structural issues, including cracks, foundation concerns, and other building defects.
• Conduct regular inspections, surveys, and assessments to ensure building safety and compliance with engineering standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, artisans, and service providers for repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent structural deterioration.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for facility improvements, risk mitigation, and budget planning.
• Liaise with management on technical requirements, cost estimates, and project timelines.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of work done by vendors and contractors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in facility management or building maintenance, with focus on structural issues.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering, building codes, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience managing contractors and technical teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and communicate recommendations clearly.
• Knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and any facility management software is an advantage.
