Job Description:

Are you a recent graduate looking to launch a career in the high-stakes world of property and facility management? We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Estate & Facilities Officer to manage the operational heartbeat of our company estates. This is a hands-on role where you will move between the office and the field, overseeing everything from security and housekeeping to technical maintenance and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) compliance. If you are a B.Sc./HND holder in Estate Management with a "problem-solver" mindset and a hunger for mentorship, this is your entry point into professional asset management.

Requirements:

. Facilities & Operations Management

  • Technical Oversight: Supervise routine maintenance and repairs, ensuring that building systems, utilities, and infrastructure are functioning at peak efficiency.

  • Service Coordination: Manage day-to-day security and housekeeping teams to ensure a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment.

  • Logistics & Utilities: Monitor utility consumption (power, water, waste) and implement strategies to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

2. Compliance, Safety & HSE

  • HSE Governance: Ensure all estate activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards to minimize workplace incidents.

  • Regulatory Tracking: Assist in ensuring the property meets all local government regulations, building codes, and safety certifications.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential facility risks and implement preventive measures to safeguard company assets and personnel.

3. Financial Control & Reporting

  • Cost Management: Assist in budget preparation and implement cost-control measures to ensure maintenance activities stay within financial limits.

  • Valuation Support: Apply basic valuation knowledge to assist in assessing property conditions and market positioning.

  • Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly operational reports for management, highlighting facility status, ongoing projects, and security updates.

Qualifications and Skills:

Academic & Technical Background

  • Education: B.Sc. or HND in Estate Management or a very closely related field.

  • Experience: 0 – 3 years of experience. This role is designed for a recent graduate or early-career professional.

  • Foundational Knowledge: A solid understanding of property valuation principles and basic facility management workflows.

Core Competencies

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for reporting and coordinating with vendors and staff.

  • Adaptability: A high level of "on-site" willingness; you are comfortable being active and managing tasks on the ground.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to spot operational inefficiencies and suggest practical solutions.

  • Integrity: High level of accountability in managing facility resources and vendor relationships.
