Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Engineering Manager to serve as the technical and organizational anchor of our fintech ecosystem. This is a senior leadership role (7–10+ years experience) designed for a "Technical Architect-Leader"—someone who can command a complex Java/Microservices stack while simultaneously scaling high-performing engineering squads.

Your mission is to architect and manage the backbone of our mission-critical financial products. You will be responsible for the resilience of our payment processing, digital wallets, and lending platforms, ensuring high availability (99.99%) and absolute regulatory compliance. If you possess the strategic judgment to manage technical debt while driving a performance-driven engineering culture, we want you to lead our core engineering function.

Requirements:

1. Distributed Systems & Java Architecture

• System Design: Lead the architectural roadmap for high-performance fintech applications using Java (Spring Boot), Hibernate, and Microservices.

• Resilience Engineering: Design for fault tolerance and high availability, ensuring that payment integrations and core banking systems remain operational under extreme transaction loads.

• Security & Encryption: Implement "Security-by-Design," leveraging OAuth2, JWT, and encryption standards to ensure the platform is audit-ready and compliant with financial regulations.

2. Engineering Leadership & Team Scaling

• People Management: Lead, mentor, and scale a cross-functional team of backend and full-stack engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and high-velocity delivery.

• Agile Excellence: Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery tracking to ensure product features move from ideation to production on time.

• Standards Enforcement: Conduct rigorous code reviews and champion best practices in clean code, automated testing, and CI/CD/DevOps automation.

3. Fintech Ecosystem & Compliance Integration

• Financial Integrations: Oversee complex integrations with third-party providers for KYC/AML, payment gateways, and banking APIs.

• Data Stewardship: Manage database design and optimization (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to ensure data traceability and sub-millisecond query performance for financial records.

• Compliance Oversight: Align engineering output with PCI-DSS or other relevant financial data protection standards to ensure system integrity.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field.

• Experience: 7–10+ years in software engineering, with at least 3–5 years in a Lead or Managerial capacity.

• Java Mastery: Deep proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and the development of RESTful APIs.

• Distributed Logic: Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka or RabbitMQ) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Core Competencies

• Architectural Judgment: Ability to make critical trade-off decisions between speed of delivery and system scalability.

• Containerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for managing distributed workloads.

• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and Compliance, Risk, and Operations.
