Job Description:

Bagno Technik, a division of the Black Pelican Group, is seeking a high-caliber Electrical Engineer to serve as a Project Monitoring Associate. This is a senior-level technical role based in Lekki, Lagos, designed for a professional who can bridge the gap between complex engineering design and flawless project execution.

You will play a critical role in architecting electrical systems for high-end industrial, commercial, and technological projects. Your mission is to ensure that every installation is safe, efficient, and compliant with international standards while leading multidisciplinary teams to hit rigorous project milestones. Requirements:

1. Engineering Design & System Simulation

• System Architecture: Develop detailed electrical layouts, schematics, and system designs for complex commercial and industrial infrastructures.

• Technical Analysis: Conduct critical load calculations, short-circuit studies, and advanced system simulations to optimize power distribution and performance.

• Energy Efficiency: Recommend and implement system improvements to enhance operational performance and reduce energy consumption.

2. Project Monitoring & Installation Leadership

• Execution Oversight: Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring adherence to the original design and project timelines.

• Risk Mitigation: Continuously monitor project progress, identify technical or logistical risks, and implement robust mitigation plans.

• Multidisciplinary Coordination: Act as the technical liaison between mechanical, civil, and procurement departments to ensure seamless project integration.

3. Maintenance, Safety & Compliance

• Reliability Engineering: Oversee routine and preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the long-term reliability of installed electrical systems.

• Fault Diagnosis: Serve as the lead technical expert in diagnosing and resolving complex electrical faults in high-value systems and equipment.

• Regulatory Governance: Ensure 100% compliance with local (COREN/NSE), national, and international electrical codes, conducting rigorous risk assessments for all works.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience within the industrial, commercial, or technological sectors.

• Professional Standing: COREN registration (or eligibility for immediate registration) is highly desirable.

• Technical Mastery: Extensive knowledge of electrical systems design, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.
