Job Description:

• Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Lead Civil / Structural Engineer to lead the design, engineering, and execution of civil and structural works for oil and gas infrastructure projects.
• The ideal candidate will oversee engineering deliverables, provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with HSE and industry standards, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, review, and approval of civil and structural engineering deliverables, including drawings, calculations, specifications, MTOs, and technical reports.
• Coordinate civil and structural engineering activities across FEED, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Review contractor and vendor designs to ensure compliance with client specifications, industry codes, and quality standards.
• Provide technical support to project teams by resolving engineering and construction challenges.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments, and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor engineering progress, prepare technical reports, and ensure timely project delivery.
• Ensure all designs comply with HSE, regulatory, and company standards while promoting best engineering practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Requirements:

• B.Eng. / B.Sc. / HND in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Possess a minimum of 10 years post-graduation working experience; out of which minimum of 6 years must have been spent in engineering / construction / maintenance and with experience in commissioning and 3 years must have been spent as senior discipline engineer or project position in a reputable organization, preferably an Oil & Gas company.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, civil engineering design, construction methods.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, project coordination, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• COREN/NSE registration or other relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
