Job Description:
We are seeking a data-driven and results-oriented Digital Marketing Specialist to lead our performance marketing efforts. This role is built for a specialist who thrives at the intersection of creativity and technical analysis, with a primary focus on scaling our e-commerce operations through aggressive customer acquisition and retargeting strategies.
The successful candidate must possess a deep, "under-the-hood" understanding of advertising algorithms and a proven track record of managing significant ad spend to achieve measurable growth.
Requirements:
Performance Marketing & Ad Management
Platform Mastery: Execute and manage high-scale campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Display, YouTube) and Meta Ads (Facebook, Instagram) to drive high-intent traffic.
Ad Performance: Constantly monitor and optimize campaigns based on core metrics such as ROAS (Return on Ad Spend), CPA (Cost Per Acquisition), and CTR (Click-Through Rate).
A/B Testing: Lead rigorous testing of ad creatives, copy, and landing pages to identify and scale winning combinations.
E-commerce Strategy & Growth
Funnel Optimization: Analyze the end-to-end customer journey from initial ad impression to final checkout, identifying and fixing leaks in the conversion funnel.
Retention & Retargeting: Design sophisticated retargeting sequences and lookalike audience strategies to maximize customer lifetime value.
Data Analysis: Utilize Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and internal e-commerce data to provide actionable insights and weekly performance reports to leadership.
Budgeting & Collaboration
Budget Oversight: Manage and allocate monthly ad budgets across channels to ensure optimal resource distribution and maximum ROI.
Cross-Functional Teamwork: Coordinate with the creative and content teams to develop high-converting visual assets and messaging that resonate with our target demographics.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
5–6 years of experience specifically within the E-commerce industry.
Verifiable track record of managing performance marketing for online retail or marketplace platforms.
Technical Compulsory Skills:
Expert-level understanding of Google Ads and Meta Ads is non-negotiable.
Proficiency in tracking technologies, including Pixel implementation, GTM (Google Tag Manager), and API conversions.
Analytical Rigor: Strong ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear marketing strategies.
Residency: Must be based in Lagos and able to work in a hybrid capacity (alternating between remote and in-office days).
Communication: Exceptional ability to present performance data and strategic roadmaps to stakeholders.
